The sea surface is continually changeable. It is so a good symbol of impermanence that artists (whose works are necessarily metaphorical) had tried to make use of it a thousand times, I believe. That makes things harder!
I mean, who am I to stand by Hokusay’s ukiyo-e or “prints of the floating world” (everyday life)? Hokusay’s world famous “waves” are powerful representations of the sea, as they are Coubert’s sea-pictures or Turner’s just to mention a nice pair!
Anyway, I tried my best…First of all I listen to Claude Debuissy’s “La mer” as a stimulating therapy. Here it is but please, never take this sort of things too seriously!

Wet Monsoon blows in the Indian Ocean from South West, from April to October. The rainy season which comes with it, turns out to be a bit oppressive. Further East, in Hong Kong, Taiwan and the Philippines, (where the western wind is called habagat), the dullness is regularly broken up by terrific typhoons!
Joseph Conrad’s narrative “The mirror of the sea” is a perfect account:

”The sky of the Westerly Weather is full of flying clouds…coming thicker and thicker till they seem to stand welded into a solid canopy, upon whose grey face the lower wrack of the gale, thin, black, and angry-looking, flies past with vertiginous speed.”

Welcome to AYNAKU!

Good morning,

it is six in the morning – local time – Sun shines and wind blows.

This is the first message in the bottle from AYNAKU, the beachcombers internet cove…Are you presently island hopping? Are you diving into crystal-clear tropical seas? Are you floating on a swimming pools greysh water? Are you braving the traffic jam?No matter what you are doing, if you feel somehow on the move, longing for enchanted islands, please drop me a line…You are welcome!

AYNAKU is run by me, Massimo. I took off Italy and travelled for ten years after deciding that there must be more to life than a career in architectural planning. Think of AYNAKU as an art exhibition by the beach: if you enjoy it, I’ll be glad to share my thoughts on art, sea, travel, with you.

Have a good time.
