signboard aynaku illustration travel

Signboard painting was a funny job. Actually I made no much money out of it but painting let me survive for almost ten months. My strategy was simple: island hopping between Malaysia and Thailand looking for beach resorts that needed brand new signboards… all I wanted was free food and accommodation at my clients resorts, for a couple of months at least. Then I moved again: a wonderful job indeed, one of the best I ever experienced…So this me at work. This large signboard, maybe my masterpiece (!) was done in Perhentian Kecil, a beautiful Malaysian islet; it was painted for a dive shop run buy a Norwegian couple: on that occasion I even got some money and free dives too!

Among the works done by IF’s artists last week, I selected a few interesting links: south ocean ; third day ; espial design

last but not least, here is Aynaku’s brand new template. It was suggested by my invaluable web master Michele, someone who really knows and loves his job, but who would like sometimes to move to the islands, and sell pizza…thank you my guru!

What a great idea for a job. Man, if only I would have thought of that after school, I wouldn’t have moved back to boring old Indiana. Nice illustration. :)

Oh I love the new look! Gorgeous illustration - I love the paint cans. Makes me want to go island hopping now. Although, I am not as brave of a traveler as you!
