green world aynaku travel illustration

Darjeeling is a fascinating place rich in natural beauty and surrounded by the Himalayan range. The scenery are stunning: the roads snakes their way through rice fields, sub-tropical thick jungle, rocky valleys, endless roadside waterfalls, grassy tree-dotted plains, dense green forest and huge mountains!
Down below in the valleys flow the rivers swollen by rain-water or melting snow, all canopied by cotton-wool clouds…Really, really another green world!
In Darjeeling, on board an slow bus going uphill, I was contemplating the landscape and listening to Brian Eno’s music on my walkman:
”… I’ll find a place somewhere in the corner, I’m gonna waste the rest of my days. Just watching patiently from the window, Just waiting seasons change, some day Oh, oh, my dreams will pull you through that garden gate…”
There is no good news today about the planet: I wonder if tomorrow’s people will still be able to have the benefit of a green world.

I left this open on my desk-top so I could look at it while working today:)
It is just so lush and relaxing and of course it is your special style that makes it rather like a hiaku, not too little, not too much, just right!

Very tropical. I can use the heat. Here in Northeast Ohio, our Cleveland Indians baseball game was postponed due to snow and our local Akron Aeros baseball team has canceled its first two games because of cold and snow.

Thank You for another beautiful and exotic adventure my friend! I hope it doesn’t end up where people like you have to spin your yarns on how the earth used to be because we are so thoughtless and selfish now! The United States is sadly the worse when it comes to a greedy lifestyle. But I will think positive and hope this report wakes up the people to a oneness mentality…

Darjeeling is where my iced tea comes from! Now I will think of this image every time I have a sip.
