Those few moments when the waves are having their way with you are terrifying. Especially without goggles…you just close your eyes and pray that gravity will spare you ~ and fast! But it certainly makes one realize that the ocean is boss in the end. You are the master of the Illustrator blend…are you working in CS2?

Aynaku, this is not so funny; I broke my neck nearly too in the shore-waves 5 years ago, by hitting the ground..
And I use special lenses too, they are hard to find-
I always buy myself 2..
ur pictures are allways a pleasure, I dont post so much because of a very slow line and I had a harddisc-crash :(
I wish u the very best, stay carefully by the ocean!!

Sounds like you need some new rose coloured goggles! Wonderful story and I never thought about currents under the water pushing you! I always just think of when a person is in the shallow part with pounding waves! I love Ry Cooder too!

I like your illustration a lot. It’s really fun and very well done. I think I will be snorkeling in a day or two out at Santa Cruz Island! Seriously, for real. I love it. Hope the water is not too cold.
