underwater guru

“Hovering! That’s the supreme underwater task: control your breathing, keep your body floating between bottom and surface… perhaps meditate!”
I still remember my diving-instructor tips and I remember the underwater scene: imagine this fellow, perfectly hovering, inhaling and exhaling slowly, almost mechanically. Imagine him surrounded by a score of devotees, absolute beginners looking at him as to an absolute master!
How strange that underwater guru seemed to me, so concerned on his buoyancy, so quiet and brave… his tailor-made wet-suit on!
this week’s Illustration Friday topic is “float”

May be an underwaterGuru is just what we need to ” mare our mind floating in the stream of consciousness”

Great interpretation of the topic!
Love the textures on the suit and the bubbles.
The yogui guru of floating.
Great and cool work
Nice image! Now I am wondering if this was created in illustrator CS…. you asked if I ever tried it, and I have illustrator but it doesn’t fit with my style or my brain. I applaud your excellent mastery.
