fullmoon puja srilanka buddhism aynaku illustration adobe

A full-moon night on a beach is a lovely way to escape our daily routine. Full-moon parties are widely practiced world-round and South East Asia makes no exception. If you travel that area and you wish to be involved in something different, don’t miss Puja day. On of the third lunar month (March) offerings are brought to Buddhist shrines. In Unawatuna, Sri lanka, there is a temple at the far end of the beach: it was magic for me to watch a few smiling people putting flowers afloat the still and gleaming surface of the sea, really a beautiful gesture!

Could it be the periscope face lowering from the cloud that gives the image a feeling of (yellow) submarine?

Like that feeling in your full-moon night, nice!
